Role Summary
The Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases (CRID) is a leading research institution in Cameroon dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and developing solutions for infectious disease control in Africa. CRID implements multidisciplinary research across epidemiology, entomology, molecular biology, social sciences, and health economics. Communication plays a critical role in promoting the uptake of research results, strengthening CRID’s image and credibility, and engaging both local and international stakeholders.
The Communication Assistant (Graphic Design & Research Uptake) will support CRID’s mission by creating compelling visual and written content, enhancing dissemination strategies, and ensuring research findings are translated into actionable insights for policymakers, researchers, and the public.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Excellent command of English (strong spelling, grammar, and syntax).
- Proven proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Desirable
- Strong visual communication and design expertise.
- Ability to simplify and communicate scientific information effectively.
- Creativity, adaptability, and results-oriented mindset.
