The Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases (CRID), created in 2017, is an international non-profit scientific research centre based in Cameroon. CRID aims to improve health conditions through cutting-edge disease research and training. The centre provides an excellent environment for high-quality and internationally approved entomological research on tropical and vector-borne diseases in Africa with extensive national and international collaborations. Our main targets are major tropical infectious diseases such as malaria, sleeping sickness, yellow fever, emerging vector-borne diseases such as Zika and dengue, and neglected tropical diseases like tick-borne diseases.
CRID, in its departments of Medical Entomology, Parasitology and Microbiology, has highly qualified researchers who meet the requirements of the environment and are able to use state-of-the-art technical facilities efficiently. It continues to evolve in the world of scientific research, relying on its young, passionate, and motivated technical staff.
