Position: Lead Epidemiologist
Location: Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases (CRID), Yaoundé, Cameroon
Role Summary
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of epidemiological studies, including large cluster randomized trials, based on agreed protocols.

Oversee all epidemiological fieldwork and data management operations.

Develop and supervise data collection protocols and quality control systems to ensure validity, reliability, and integrity of data.

Perform advanced statistical analyses using tools such as R, Stata, Python, or SAS to assess intervention impact.

Collaborate closely with national and international research partners.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential
-
PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in epidemiological research, with proven leadership in designing and conducting complex studies (e.g., cluster randomized trials, large-scale field studies).

Demonstrated expertise in malaria or other vector-borne disease research.

Strong proficiency in epidemiological data collection, analysis, and management.

Advanced skills in biostatistics and statistical software (R, GIS, Stata, SAS, SQL).
