Background
2015-2019:
Ph.D in Biochemistry specialized in Pharmacology, Biotechnology and
Development, University of Yaounde I-Cameroon.
Title : Study of the preventive properties of oxidative stress, inflammation and
evaluation of the anti-proliferative activity of aqueous extracts of Ochna
schweinfurthiana and Anthocleista schweinfurthii on metastasic breast cell.
2014-2015 : Master’s degree in Biochemistry, University of Yaoundé 1
2011-2012: Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, University of Yaoundé I
My research focuses on anti-proliferative, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory,
antimicrobial (against multiple-drug-resistant-strains) and mutagenicity
properties of extracts from medicinal plants as well as isolated compounds.
Research:
- Areas of interest:
Functional validation, proteomic and LC/MS analysis
- Research – an overview of his research areas(s)
Functional validation
Candidates genes and alleles driving resistance to the main classes of insecticides used in
the most control malaria program can be validated functionaly. These genes and markers
are express in vector in order to obtain the recombinant enzym and then, after extraction
and purificate recombinant enzym are put together with insecticides to see a possible
breakdown of insecticide by the recombinant enzym.
LC/MS
Use the liquid chromatography tendem mass spectrometric to identify the product
metabolism between recombinant enzym and insecticides.
Proteomics
Highlighted the amino acid involved in resistance in the malaria vector.
