COMAL (Co-Infection Plasmodium Malariae)
This project aims to fully characterize the P. malariae parasites which is the least studied of the Plasmodium parasites and often reported as a benign malaria parasite due to the lack of data on this parasite. To fill this gap, Comal plans to determine the survival strategy of P. malariae through an epidemiological survey, a genetic and molecular characterization of this parasite. While allowing the target population to obtain treatment for malaria.
