Thursday, 20th March 2025. Jude Anele, Chief Executive Officer of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Cameroon, was hosted at CRID for a working visit. He was accompanied by Aida Nzupepi, Account Manager, and Patricia Kenmegne, Branch Manager at UBA. The visit aimed to strengthen engagement with CRID’s administration and explore ways to facilitate their operations.
The meeting began with a presentation by Pr Charles Wondji, who outlined CRID’s activities and emphasized its global interactions requiring rapid international financial transactions. Examples included purchasing new equipment abroad, acquiring laboratory reagents, and transferring funds to other countries within a consortium. Falenne Kwalar, CRID’s Head of Finance, highlighted challenges in performing online payments using credit cards. After listening to these concerns, Jude Anele expressed his readiness to address them promptly. He proposed potential solutions and assured follow-up until the issues were resolved to CRID’s satisfaction

In addition to the Executive Director and Head of Finance, CRID’s delegation included: Caleb Yangkoulo, Head of Administration; Dr. Magellan Tchouakui, Research Scientist; Murielle Wondji, Laboratory Manager; and Carine Nguemegni, Head of Human Resources. The visit concluded with a tour of CRID’s Laboratory 3, where the guests observed its state-of-the-art facilities. On departure, they mentioned the upcoming opening of a UBA branch in Odza, which would be closer to CRID.
Since 2020, CRID and UBA have maintained a strong partnership that continues to grow. This collaboration reflects their shared commitment to advancing operational efficiency and mutual success.
