Report to : Chair of PGR Committee
A Postgraduate Research Officer Position is available immediately at the Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases-CRID. The role will provide a high level of professional support within the research team in managing all the aspect related to students at CRID, and act as secretary for the student committee. The role will provide key services including:
- Monitor students discipline and attendance,
- Monitor student performance and perform annual progress evaluation,
- Manage student contracts and related university registration updates
The suitable candidate for the position should have Bachelor degree in administration, or related disciplines with at least two years of demonstrated experience in management, and reporting, with strong communication skills. The initial appointment will be for two years and the reappointment will depend upon successful performance.
The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- An excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
- A strong interpersonal skills and experience in building working relationships with people at all levels and from different backgrounds
- An excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- An excellent word processing, spreadsheet and PowerPoint skills

Founded in 2017, the Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases (CRID) is a Not-for-profit research centre providing an excellent environment for conducting high quality and internationally approved research on infectious diseases in Cameroon and Africa. With an excellent technical platform and in collaboration with the various national and international partners, CRID aims to support research on the continent through the training of young African scientists, in order to fulfil its vision which is to save lives through quality research and capacity building in tropical infectious diseases.
